Guided Tours of Beechwood Cemetery—Western Tour

Walking through the western half of Beechwood Cemetery is like walking through the history of early Canada. This tour visits some of the cemetery’s oldest sections, beautiful gardens, and the Mausoleum. Tour attendees will be able to connect familiar Ottawa street names to prominent individuals and families who helped build the city. Participants will also learn how what started as a local community cemetery grew into Canada’s National Cemetery.
